Flight of the Gibbons - Ziplining in Chiang Mai

I had written a post previously about our time Zip-lining but for some reason it has disappeared!

Zip Lining is such a fun experience that I would recommend for all.

Basically you are up high in the rainforest and there are a series of platforms and lines that connect the trees. Your travel with your guides from tree to tree like a monkey.

For someone who is scared of heights like me I found this an exhilarating experience. There is only one way you can go, through the whole course to get to the end. The jumps start of basic and slowly get longer and more difficult. The scariest one for me was when you couldn't actually hold on and you have to jump and free fall. At the end you hit a net like Spider man and climb up!

We chose the company "Flight of the Gibbons" to do our Zip-lining. This company was expensive ($90 each) but had top of the line safety equipment and staff that spoke excellent English. This cost included our car transfers from our hostel, our zip lining and dinner afterwards.

After zip-lining we hit the amazing Chiang Mai Night Markets. A beautiful marketplace not to be missed! To be honest the best markets I have experienced across Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia).

Before we left the next day we did a massage course where we were taught that basics of Thai Massage. Hopefully we will be able to give you a relaxing massage soon.

With much love,

Kim and Sonja
